Peter Eisentraut

Peter is a developer in the PostgreSQL project and a member of the project's core team.

Peter developed his first PostgreSQL patch in 1999 to scratch the proverbial itch. He has since contributed in many areas such as client tools, documentation, configuration management, SQL conformance, usability, and internationalization. His current project is the development and enhancement of XML functionality in PostgreSQL. He is also a member of the project's core team.

Peter also contributes to other open-source projects including Debian, DocBook, eGroupWare, and Autoconf. He lives in Cologne, Germany and works as a consultant for database systems at credativ GmbH.
