Aaron Thul has presented at technology events from Portland to Detroit. Thul enjoys the challenges of bringing open source tools to bear on problems in industry. Apache, Perl, PostgreSQL and Linux are among his favorite problem-solving implements.

Aaron Thul is a Technical Operations & Delivery Manager at Autoweb, Inc. with responsibilities that include: traveling domestically and internationally as a team to deliver software solutions and training; manage product delivery timelines from development through to customer signoff; works with customer post sales to produce detailed technical requirements documents; presents the work and results to employer and the information technology community; review and sign off on Change Control documents for all production systems; nurture relationships with key project members of the software tools used and deployed.

Apache, Perl, PostgreSQL and Linux are among his favorite problem-solving implements. Thul's passion for promoting open source technology led him in 2006 to become Con Chair of PenguiCon 4.0, which is the first convention ever to bring together two disparate communities that share a love of innovative thought: the open source community and science fiction fans. PenguiCon is currently one of the largest technology conventions events in Michigan. Open source community panelists at past PenguiCons have included Chris DiBona, Nat Torkington, Cory Doctorow and Bruce Schneier.

Aaron has worked with clients in the technology, retail, medical, and automotive industries.
