Jan Wieck is a former CORE member and long standing key developer of the PostgreSQL database project.

Author of several features including PL/pgSQL, NUMERIC, TOAST and the background writer. Jan is working full time on PostgreSQL and the Slony-I replication system on behalf of Afilias.
