PGCon - PostgreSQL Conference for Users and DevelopersPGCon is an annual conference for users and developers of PostgreSQL, a leading relational database, which just happens to be open source. PGCon is the place to meet, discuss, build relationships, learn valuable insights, and generally chat about the work you are doing with PostgreSQL. If you want to learn why so many people are moving to PostgreSQL, PGCon will be the place to find out why. Whether you are a casual user or you've been working with PostgreSQL for years, PGCon will have something for you. PGCon 2012 will be on 17-18 May 2012 at University of Ottawa, with two days of Tutorials on 15-16 May 2012.
Location
SocialThere will be related events (of a social nature, for the most part) on the day before and after the conference. Schemaverse! This year, pgCon will be hosting a Schemaverse tournament during the conference. Compete against your fellow PostgreSQL users for prizes and the honor of the Schemaverse Champion title. Registration for the tournament will be distributed to registered attendees before the conference. The Schemaverse is a space-based strategy game implemented entirely within a PostgreSQL database. Compete against other players using raw SQL commands to command your fleet. Or, if your PL/pgSQL-foo is strong, wield it to write AI and have your fleet command itself!
